Best Answer: dont worry about ddr2, and most ddr2 MB do have 4 slots. the most common set up in ddr3 with 3 sticks is tripple channel ram which only supported by intel 1336 motherboards. otherwise, using 1156 or amd sockets you can use 3 2 did sticks at dual channel but it would be better to use 2 2 gigs and 2 1 gigs to populate all your ram slots. also, most 1336 MB have six slots, not 3. and ...
